Oral history interview with Enid Justin, 1981 November 13.

Interview with Enid Justin concerning her experiences as owner, President, and Chair of the Board of Nocona Boot Company in Nocona, Texas. Justin discusses her family background, her education in Nocona in the early 1900s, her experiences stitching boots in her father's factory, Justin Boot Company, and her activities as first owner, operator, and salesperson for Nocona Boot Company in the 1920s. She also talks about the Justin brothers' move to Fort Worth, the Nocona Boot Company sales activities outside of Texas, personnel, the merger with Justin Industries in 1981, the Vernon, Texas boot plant, as well as advertising techniques, the expansion of the Nocona plant in 1949, her civic activities, Nocona, Texas, government regulations, and production statistics. On the back endpapers of the volume are pasted a photocopy of a typed, undated letter by Enid Justin and a photocopy of a statement of assests and liabilities for the Nocona Boot Company, dated December 31, 1925 and signed by Enid Justin.

Enid Justin, daughter of pioneer bootmaker J. H. Justin, took over her father's Nocona boot factory after his death in 1918 and her brothers' moved to Fort Worth to re-establish the H. J.
